It is Spring, and maybe you have some fun travel plans! If you have kids, spring break is on the horizon, or maybe you’re looking forward to a girl’s trip, a work trip, or a getaway with your special someone. No matter what or where you are going, let’s make sure you have what you need to care for your skin and hair, and easy travel style ideas!

When you’re traveling, your skin will need all the moisture. Airplane cabins have extremely low humidity (less than 20%), and that leads to skin dehydration and dryness. Make sure you pack a good moisturizer for your face, body, and hair! I will even mist with (Mario Badescu) Aveda botanical kinetics skin toning mist. This facial spray contains soothing aloe and rosewater. I use it first thing in the morning, again before taking off, and once I land. There are so many added benefits to a hydrating face mist other than hydrating your face on the go and locking in moisture. A mist will also prime your skin, help blend your makeup and help it look more natural, or revive your product after a long day!

Don’t forget these other travel essentials:

  1. Sunscreen
  2. Heat protectant for your hair
  3. Deep conditioner
  4. Body lotion
  5. Lip balm/chapstick

If you are not sure of the products you should be using, Aveda has a HAIR QUIZ on their site! You can also ask a stylist at RHIMIX Salon and Spa for recommendations at your next appointment.

Don’t stop at hydrating with mist— hydrate that body by drinking plenty of water. Hydrate your skin with a good moisturizer. And to really protect your skin, slather on SPF! To care for your hair, try a deep conditioner that hair can soak up while you are soaking up some sun and relaxing! Here are a few we suggest:

Sun Care Hair and Body Cleanser
Daily Light GuardTM Defense Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 30
Sun Care Protective Hair Veil
Sun Care After-Sun Hair Masque
